Update on Apartment Hunting

At the start of January, I started taking tours of different apartments in Sioux Falls. Surprisingly, there is a lot to see. I believe I’ve seen about 20 so far. I only have about nine more that I plan to visit. Out of the ones I have toured, I have narrowed it down to four.

41st Street Commons

Willow’s Edge

Dakota Pointe

Foxmoor

I like these apartments and think they will be hard to beat. I am very excited to move out and want to pick the best option.

41st Steet Commons: What I like about them is that their apartments feel like townhomes but with the price of an apartment! They also allow three cats!

WIllow’s Edge: What I loved about these apartments was that they were flat-style apartments with a small set of stairs, which I loved. I am not a fan of everything being on the same floor. These apartments are the most expensive of the four, though.

Dakota Pointe: What I loved about Dakota Pointe was that they are very big! Many new and modern apartments neglect living room space for a bigger kitchen. However, I do not enjoy cooking and prefer a bigger living room. I liked the size of their living rooms. It was a little outdated; however, that does not bother me much.

Foxmoor: These apartments are probably my favorite; however, while their base rent isn’t too expensive, they don’t cover any utilities on top of the rent, which makes it pretty expensive. So, while I like these, I will likely not go with them for that reason.

I do not plan to move until October, which I know seems like I am looking very far ahead, but you would be surprised how many apartments there are to see. I am very excited to have my own place and just live completely by my own rules.
