Project of Choice

One of our last assignments was a “project of choice,” meaning we could choose anything we wanted to do, whether it be an infographic, stickers, poster, etc., or, in my case, book covers. I love to read, and when presented with this assignment, I immediately wanted it to involve books somehow; it was suggested by a classmate to do book covers. So, that is what I did. I made three book covers. I decided I wanted to do something other than re-design book covers that already existed, so instead, I designed utterly new book covers, from the design to photography, summary, tagline, author bio, etc. I loved the process so much that I decided to make two more book covers, turning it into a trilogy. This was by far one of my favorite assignments and designs I’ve done. I am so proud of how these covers turned out. I hope to one day make a job out of designing book covers. That would be a dream come true. Until then, I think I’ll just continue to make up mock book covers for fun.
