Today was a hectic day. I drove all around Sioux Falls, hand-delivering invites to different design companies. My delivery included an invite to STC’s portfolio show and a poster giving information about the show’s details. It was very cool to see all the different design shops and talk to designers currently in the field. Many places were very hard to find because they tended to be downtown in suites above other businesses. My favorite visit was to 9 Clouds. While I didn’t get to talk to anyone there because the designer was out for the day, the area itself was amazing. I am a sucker for interior design, and 9 Clouds had a very industrial, modern feel. I loved it. I loved the exposed brick and the giant moth light-up sign. It was a cool place, somewhere I wouldn’t mind working.
