Summer Works

August 22, 2023.

Even though we were on summer break for the past 3 months, I still tried to stay active in various programs as to not forget anything I learned. Some projects I did include the following,

  1. I made a flyer for my mom advertising our chickens eggs and how much they would cost. We then pinned up the flyers and got a great outcome!
  2. I also designed a tattoo for a friend’s mom. She wanted her mom’s necklace along with her kid’s birthdays and her wedding anniversary. She had a lot of request and her mom’s necklace was very difficult and awkward to turn into a design. However, after many attempts with different ideas we settled on one that she liked the most and then I brought it into Illustrator and she loved the end result!
  3. After I finished the previous tattoo I moved onto another one for my then coworker. She wanted a tattoo that represented her love for the books Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Luckily I am also a huge fan of these books so, this tattoo was so much fun to create. She loved the end result and honestly so did I.
  4. The last thing I did this summer was make myself a 16 page book template. I got super into reading over the summer and wanted a way to be able to track what I was reading. However, I could not find a template that fit exactly what I wanted or an app that I didn’t have to pay for. So I decided to make my own template which is now perfectly catered to me and has everything I want without having to pay for it or compromise on anything.

Although I look back on the summer and wished I had done more projects I am still very proud of myself for the projects and work that I did do. I am happy to be back in school and continue learning.
